Dog Parks
I was just notified (May 2018) that there's a new Dog Park in Edgewater at 3399 Glebe Heights Drive. I went and took a look at it, and it's pretty awesome! (See pictures below) I just wish my Maggie played well with others and could enjoy something like this! They even have a Facebook page too. Make sure you check it out!
Anne Arundel County has 5 dog parks and 2 dog beaches. All of the dog parks have rules... Here's the rules from the Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation page:
Persons who choose to use the Dog Park as a condition of use agree to the following rules:
- Anne Arundel County is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers, or others that use the Dog Park. This area is for dogs and their handlers/owners only.
- Aggressive dogs are strictly forbidden within the fenced dog park. Violators will face permanent suspension from all county dog parks.
- Dog owners/handlers must respect the rights of others to use this area by maintaining control of their pets at all times.
- Dogs must be on leash and under control by their owners/handlers at all times outside of the fenced Dog Park.
- Children under the age of 6 are prohibited from entering the fenced dog park area. An adult, who is accountable for their behavior and well-being, must accompany all children.
- Owners/handlers must immediately clean up after their dog(s) and properly dispose of waste.
- No smoking or food within fenced area (human or dog).
- All dogs must be healthy, vaccinated, and collared - with identification.
- Owners/handlers must remain inside, with leash, within view and voice control of their dog(s) at all times.
- Only small dogs and older dogs are permitted to use the small dog area.
- Limit of two dogs per adult.
- Dogs in heat and puppies under 4 months of age are prohibited.
- Dog park gates must be closed immediately after entering or exiting the facility.
- Excessive barking is prohibited. Dogs barking excessively must be removed.
- Owners/handlers must stop their dogs from digging and immediately fill any holes dug.
- Only flying disc and tennis ball type toys are permitted within fenced area.

Dog Beaches
When the weather is warm, our puppies deserve to go to the beach too! These 2 parks offer Dog Beaches. Just like the dog parks, the dog beaches have rules too! Here the are!

- Humans are prohibited from swimming or wading in the water.
