I particularly like Walking Tours, as it allows you do to sections when your schedule permits. That's why I put up the Eastport Walking Tour so while you're out and about in Eastport, you can learn a little about each of the spots.
One of the things I know about myself is that I find the story behind the story fascinating. One of the reasons I love Annapolis is that we all know there's history here, but do you really know the history of our city and state?
I recently came across some publications that were picked up at the Maryland State Archives during one of their open houses. The information they have there is so awesome! I picked up some maps (like the one above) and some booklets on different historical aspects of Annapolis & Maryland. I find them so fascinating would love to share them with you!
My job as a realtor is to make sure my clients know the area, and my website is a great resource for that. But I'd be remiss if I said I didn't want to share some of this information! I also realize that some of this information here is statewide, where some of you may not want to adventure that far out. But if you did, you'd have a wonderful adventure!
I've started a section on my website called Maryland History & Resources where I can put this information (because I can't NOT share!) I only have 1 thing on there right now, so be patient as I add more material! If you go on one of these journeys, please share! Look for more new (and well, old) things to come!
Do you have some Annapolis (or Maryland) history you'd like to share? If so, please forward it to me by either filling out the form below or emailing me! I'd love to share it!
